Eligibility for Admission in B Com Programme
To be eligible for admission, a student must have passed the qualifying examination in subjects prescribed by Gujarat University from time to time from any of the following boards or institutions:
- The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board
- The Central Board of Secondary Education
- The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi
- The International Baccalaureate
- The National Institute of Open Schooling
- Any other State Board (outside Gujarat)
Important criteria
- Passed the qualifying examination through a supplementary examination conducted by the board
- Admissions are subject to vacancy
- Students who have passed the qualifying examination from other states must submit a Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from Gujarat University before registration
- Passed the qualifying examination with the English and Accountancy
- Students who did not opt for Accountancy in Class 12 but have sought admission in the B Com programme must submit an Accountancy assignment before completing the first semester. An additional fee of ₹500 is payable to the Gujarat University Admission Committee (GUAC). The assignment must be submitted to the School of Commerce, Gujarat University.
Eligibility for Admission in M.Com Programme
To be eligible for admission, a candidate must have passed the qualifying examination in the relevant subjects prescribed by Gujarat University from time to time. The degree must be from any university recognized by the UGC. Eligible degrees include:
- B Com
- BBA
- An equivalent degree from any recognised university
Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from universities other than Gujarat University must obtain a Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from Gujarat University.
Code of Conduct
To ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the college, it is essential to maintain proper discipline and decorum by adhering to the following rules and regulations:
- Be regular and punctual in attending classes. Do not gather in the corridors or speak loudly near classrooms and office areas
- Enter and leave classrooms in an orderly manner
- Refrain from engaging in any immoral or anti-social activities
- Observe all necessary safety precautions
- Any change in postal address or phone numbers must be communicated in writing, as this is crucial for communication and emergencies
- Possessing any obscene reading or viewing material is prohibited
- Filming or sharing any objectionable videos within the College premises is prohibited
- Avoid causing damage to college property
- Proper conduct towards all staff members and fellow students is expected at all times
- Do not engage in any misconduct during examinations
- The right of admission and entry to the college campus is reserved
- Avoid bringing expensive items or large sums of cash to college. The college will not be responsible for any loss
- Having a bank account is mandatory for the provision of scholarships, stipends, among others
- Regularly read the notice boards and check the ‘Vidyalaya App’ for day-to-day instructions. Ignorance of displayed notices will not be accepted as an excuse for non-compliance
- Maintain a positive conduct
- Do not sit in the canteen or loiter outside while classes are in session
- Harassing juniors, mistreating fellow students, or engaging in any form of ragging is strictly prohibited and is a criminal offense under the directives of the Honourable Supreme Court of India. Misbehaviour towards others, threats, or violence against staff or students will be treated as serious misconduct.
- Use the dustbins placed around the campus to dispose trash
- Use of mobile phones in teaching areas is strictly prohibited.
- Vehicles must be parked in an orderly manner
