Introduction
C. C. Sheth College of Commerce, Navgujarat Campus, celebrated Navratri Mahotsav with great joy and enthusiasm today on campus. Students and faculty members came together to immerse themselves in the festive spirit of Garba, filling the atmosphere with vibrant colors, rhythmic beats, and cultural fervor.
This year, the celebration was themed around “Swadeshi – Pride in Our Traditions”, highlighting the importance of valuing indigenous culture and promoting local art, attire, and traditions. The students adorned themselves in traditional outfits that reflected the essence of Indian craftsmanship, making the event more meaningful and patriotic.The event was jointly organised by the Cultural Committee and the College Women Development Cell (CWDC). Alumni students also joined the celebration, making the evening more memorable and strengthening the bond between past and present members of the college family.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. D.S. Mistry shared, “Navratri is not only a festival of devotion and celebration, but also a reminder of our deep-rooted cultural values. By embracing the Swadeshi spirit, we not only honor our heritage but also strengthen our collective identity as proud Indians.”
The program witnessed energetic performances, cheerful participation, and a vibrant display of togetherness. Both students and faculty enjoyed the Garba festivities, making the celebration a memorable one for everyone present.
